Domestic Effluent Treated for the Cultivation of Anthurium (Anthurium Andraeanum Lind.)

Purpose: The objective of this research was to evaluate the growth and production anthurium (Anthurium andraeanum Lind.) irrigated with dilutions treated domestic effluent (EDT), aiming reduce use water recycle nutrients present in effluent. Theoretical framework: Faced scarcity irregularity rainfall Recôncavo da Bahia, it emphasizes need urgency search for alternative sources irrigation, such as wastewater, potential supply nutritional demands plants, especially those less restriction, like ornamentals. Method/design/approach: experimental design completely randomized, using five EDT (0, 25, 50, 75 100%) drinking water, four replications. Plant height, number leaves, leaf area, flowers shoot dry mass were evaluated. Results conclusion: Plants fertilized 50% recommended nitrogen potassium showed similar plants 100% mineral fertilizer, which allows recommending irrigation reduction fertilization. Research implications: results obtained reinforce importance taking advantage nutrient content effluent, possibility partially replacing fertilizers, favoring savings quality fertilizers. Originality/value: Savings good addition providing a safe destination
